Founder and Principal

Mike Rosen is an accomplished public communicator and advisor.  His career has spanned more than 20 years in reporting, government, media relations, and crisis communication.  Mike has interviewed presidents, provided counsel to the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman, built support for legislation in Congress, and is a respected source among Texas and national media.  He now leverages his expertise to help organizations tell their story, navigate uncertainty and advance their agenda. 


REPORTING & POLITICS  Mike covered the Texas Legislature for Fox Television Stations during the George W. Bush and Rick Perry gubernatorial administrations and traveled with Gov. Bush to provide extensive coverage of his 2000 presidential campaign.  Mike served seven years as Communications Director to Congressman Michael McCaul (Texas) and played an instrumental role elevating Rep. McCaul to Chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security in Fall 2012, where he served as Senior Advisor. 


CORPORATE  Mike has served in senior leadership roles and as an executive team member regularly providing C-Suite counsel and managing complex issues that require confidentiality and discretion.  Having worked collaboratively across organizations he understands the need for a robust internal communication model in addition to external functions.  In times of crisis Mike has served as spokesperson; led war room discussions; directed external public relations, lobbying and accounting teams, and coordinated with legal counsel to understand facts and develop both internal and external messaging.

PROFICIENCIES  With his dynamic background, Mike is adept at grasping and communicating complex and rapidly developing issues. He is trusted with highly sensitive information requiring confidentiality and discretion and is relied upon to craft relevant and compelling messaging that resonates with core audiences. He has worked side by side with multinational technology companies, small businesses and nonprofits. He has collaborated with diverse constituencies including cancer research institutes, law enforcement, military, agricultural producers and academia.


REACH & RESULTS  Mike has placed op-eds and booked network interviews on FOX, FOX Business, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, ABC, NBC and CBS.  He has generated and influenced stories in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Dallas Morning News and Houston Chronicle.  Mike's work has altered political debate in Congress and the Texas Legislature.  He has directed political and crisis communication strategies, diffusing news stories and temporing political rhetoric.  Most recently, Mike has leveraged his policy expertise to write curricula for university homeland security and emergency management courses and he remains engaged in homeland security policy matters.


Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Houston, where he worked as a reporter for KUHF radio, as Sports Editor for The Daily Cougar newspaper and juggled internships at three Houston television stations.
